3 Legged Thing Patti 2.0 Announced

3 Legged Thing has unveiled the Patti 2.0, the latest iteration of the magnesium alloy Punks Patti tripod. This new version introduces a range of enhancements, including a detachable monopod leg, giving photographers two-in-one functionality.

The canopy, column lock and leg locks have also been revamped.

Stuart Boston, Chief Operating Officer at 3 Legged Thing, expressed his excitement about the launch, saying, “Patti was already one of our best-selling tripods, and we’re sure retailers and customers will love these new features and refinements.”

Tailored for beginners and photography students, the 3 Legged Thing Patti 2.0 is suitable for a wide range of photographic applications. It comes with the AirHed Mini, an easy-to-use ball head with a single knob to enable the ball to be loosened for repositioning before being locked in place. This tripod head features an Arca-Swiss style clamp and comes with an Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release plate, which is secured by turning a second knob.

Alternatively, the clamp can accept Arca-Swiss compatible L-brackets such as the 3 Legged Thing Lexie or Gracy.

The magnesium-alloy tripod has 4-section legs with 3 ABS flip locks. Meanwhile, the single-section centre column is both removable and reversible for low-level photography.

As mentioned earlier, one of the Patti 2.0’s legs can also be removed and connected to the centre column to create a full-height monopod – with or without the AirHed Mini in place.

The new leg locks on the Patti 2.0 have a textured surface for better grip and feature 3LT’s Leonard 3-legged logo icon.

In keeping with 3 Legged Thing’s other Punks-series tripods, the Patti 2.0 canopy features a ¼”-20 screw thread to allow accessories like arms for lights or monitors to be mounted.

The Patti 2.0 also boasts an upgraded column lock, mirroring the design of other Punks 2.0 tripods with a mix of knurled and rubber rings for improved grip.

3 Legged Thing offers the Patti 2.0 in two color options: Darkness (matte black) and metallic blue. It comes with a carry bag and 3 Legged Thing’s Toolz which features a carabiner, Hex key, and coin tool.
